Friday Morning Announcements
December 13, 2019
Good morning IB college-bound scholars! This is Natalia Rodriguez, your ASB President, and special guest Communicators with your Friday Morning Announcements:
For the month of December, our IB Learner Profile Attribute is Knowledgeable: Knowledgeable IB students explore concepts, ideas and issues that have local and global significance. In so doing, they acquire in-depth knowledge and develop understanding across a broad and balanced range of disciplines. Be a Knowledgeable IB student today and every day!
IB Assemblies Today: Period 3 is for 7th graders, period 4 is for 6th graders, and period 5 is for 8th graders. Today’s IB assemblies focus on being Caring and Knowledgeable IB learners. We will be giving out awards and enjoying our KYDS dance team’s performance. Student representatives from each class will be asked to play “Hook the Candy Cane” for cookie prizes! Ask your teacher if you can play to win for your class!
Holiday Grams are on sale now for $1 each. Each will come with stickers and a treat. Send some Holiday Cheer to a friend or a teacher with this cute note. They will be delivered on Wednesday, December 18th. Leadership students are selling them as well as Ms. Jauregui in room B-49, and keep an eye out at lunch for our table in the Purple Commons.
Attention 6th Graders! The 6th grade obstacle course race will take place on Wednesday, December 18th during lunch. Thank you to everyone who signed up to compete – your invitation will be sent to you the day of the event. See you then!
Attention 8th Graders! The 8th grade shirt is being ordered and should be here when we return from break in January! These shirts will have everyone’s name on the back, and you will be allowed to wear them every Friday! They will go on sale for $11, so make sure to ask Santa for some pennies for your 8th grade shirt!
Safe and Civil Reminder – Auditorium Policy: Students, be Safe when entering and exiting the auditorium. Be Responsible and sit with your class the entire time. Be Respectful and give the presenters or performers your undivided attention and listen when they are speaking, singing or playing. Be Jaguar Paws-itive and encourage your peers to follow the rules and applaud appropriately at the end of songs and performances. Thank you in advance for being Principled and Caring IB Learners and enjoy today’s assembly. Be Respectful, be Responsible, be Safe, and be Jaguar Paws-itive.
Jaguar Paws: Earn your Jaguar Paws by demonstrating the skills, qualities and characteristics of IB Learners. On Fridays we raffle off prizes to lucky students who have earned and turned in their Jaguar Paws to the Main Office. Good luck to everyone!
Thank you for your attention and have a great day!
