Monday Morning Announcements
June 3, 2019

Good morning IB college-bound scholars! This is Marissa Navarro, your ASB Secretary, and special guest Communicators with your Morning Announcements:

At the heart of the International Baccalaureate Program are the IB Learner Profile Attributes: They unite us all with a common focus on the whole person, as a life-long learner. They apply to us all, for we are all continually learning. Each month this year we have focused on a different IB Learner Profile Attribute. Even though this is the last week of school, think about how you can continue to grow as an IB Learner throughout the summer and throughout your lives. Be a Knowledgeable Thinker, Communicator, Inquirer, Open-Minded, Principled, Caring, Balanced, and Reflective Risk-Taker today and every day, and you, your class, your, school, your family, your friends, your community, your nation and your world will be better off and more peaceful because of it.

Important Announcements from Principal Dara: Attention all 8th Graders! Starting today, you may donate a clean school uniform and in exchange you will receive a Uniform Exemption Pass for this, the last week of school. Students will still need to follow Standard Dress Code rules. Anything inappropriate will be addressed. You may drop off your clean uniforms today at morning break or lunch with a pass. Also, Attention Knitting Club members! Our club will not meet this week, but please return your knitting needles to me in the Main Office this week. Thank you. This Thursday and Friday we are on a minimum-day schedule, and Thursday evening at 6:00 PM is our 8th Grade Culmination Ceremony. All culminating students are asked to arrive at Wilson High School’s MPR area at 5:00 PM on Thursday. On Friday, which is our last day of school, we will have our annual 8th Grade Field Day/Carnival for all 8th graders who are eligible for culmination. Lastly, teachers, please be sure to submit attendance during the first 15 minutes of every period. Your attention to this task is greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a great day everyone. Be on the T.E.A.M. because Together El Sereno Achieves More.

Good Morning Jaguars, this is Alondra Nava, your ASB President with Important Announcements from Leadership: Attention Jaguars! This is your last chance to buy your 2018-2019 Yearbooks! Get one now! Safe and Civil Reminder: Students – Thank you for eating your lunch in the designated eating areas only, and for throwing away your trash in the garbage cans when you are finished eating. Please do not take your food out onto the basketball courts, the PE area, or into the buildings. Also, remember that no food is allowed at the purple tables in the Student Commons. Thank you in advance for being Principled IB Learners. Be Respectful, be Responsible, be Safe, and be Jaguar Paws-itive.

Jaguar Paws: Earn your Jaguar Paws by demonstrating the skills, qualities and characteristics of IB Learners. On Fridays we raffle off prizes to lucky students who have earned and turned in their Jaguar Paws to the Main Office. Good luck to everyone!
